Billed as the year’s biggest Hollywood party, it was quite frankly a bit of a dud in the fashion department this year. 🤷🏻 Still, there were a few highlights, so let’s run them down, shall we? 💫
………..
Renee Zellwegger in Armani Prive – Don’t call it a comeback, but this was by all accounts, a return to fighting form for Ms. Z. Fit to to perfection, this minimalist column is simplicity at its highest form. And it feels like an homage to the YSL periwinkle number donned by Nicole Kidman in 2002—my favourite GG look of all time! 🔥
.
Cate Blanchett in Mary Kantranzou – Listen…is it her best look ever? Not nearly close. But you can always count on Cate the Great to never play it safe — after all, this pleated sheath is not an easy one to pull off, Dahlings! .
Priyanka Chopra – She’s mostly a hit-or-miss for me, so I have to applaud her for choosing a silhouette and color so flattering, she easily outshone the brightest of stars that night. RAVISHING! ⭐️
.
Charlize Theron in Dior – This startling punch of color absolutely sells the look, even if the slight fit issues kept this from being a complete smash. Still, a modern day goddess. Consider this an ‘amuse bouche’ and I look forward to what she has to serve this awards season. 💁🏻‍♂️
.
Jamie King in Iris Van Halpern – An unexpected choice, she’s literally hypnotic in this 3D textile art piece. Swooooon 🍭.
.
Helen Mirren in Dior – Tasteful. Elegant. Timeless. Always count on The Dame to show these starlets how it’s done. 👏🏻
.
Nicole Kidman in Versace – Like a true red carpet pro, La Kidman elevates this otherwise clichéd, David’s Bridal-looking confection into a high fashion moment. The gold accessories are divine, and RED has always been her colour. STATUESQUE! ❤️
